Gen. Mowafak  Juma, Chairman of the General Sports Federation stressed that the Syrian sport continue to march toward global level through its distinctive activity and positive results in most of the sports on international events.

Gen. Mowafak JOMAA illustrates in a press conference that was held in the of the General Sports Federation HQ meeting hall with the president of the Asian Kickboxing Federation WAKO Asia, Vice president of WAKO- Mr. Nasser Nassiri that the General Sports Federation, the Syrian Olympic Committee and the Syrian Kickboxing Federation will stage an international tournament on the 7th of July, and will be as a festival under the title / Syria Triumph /. General Juma added that the sports leadership will pay special attention to the tournament being the most prominent sporting event to be hosted in Syria since six years. Invitations will be forwarded to all nations to participate, thanks to the victories achieved by the Syrian Arab Army and return of safety and security across Syria. WAKO Asia President and WAKO Vice president Mr. Nasseri said that the Syrian Sports have proven its excellence in most sports, especially the individual sports including kickboxing on top, pointing out that the WAKO Asia supports staging of this international tournament in Damascus and its success would serve as a launch to host other championships. About the mechanism of support that will be given to the kickboxing in light of its success locally and abroad Mr. Nasseri illustrates that WAKO Asia that the cadres of the sport will follow theoretical, practical and technological courses for players, referees and coaches to increase their experience and polish their talents. Mr. Manar Albizreh- president of the Syrian Kickboxing Federation, pointed out that the international championship which will be hosted by Syria in the next July is the first since six years under the auspices of the WAKO and WAKO Asia pointing out that initially Champions of Iran, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon and Iraq will take part. From his part, the Director of Aziz Group Companies, the official sponsor of the championship- Mr. Yasser Abbas said that the duty of economic institutions to support the Syrian Sports. In this context we support the kickboxing sport, pointing out that sponsorship comes from the premise that sport is a clue on the unity of society and its health as well as the sportsman is an ambassador carrying messages with its content that Syria is present despite the barbaric terrorist war that it exposed to. On the other side, participants from other countries will transfer the extent of the long history and authenticity of Syria. The press conference included the signing of a sponsorship contract between General Sports Federation and Al Aziz Group for Commercial and Marketing Transactions.
